With Red, cast on 29 sts, work in stockinette st (K 1 row, P 1 row) for 3½ inches, then inc 1 st each end of row every 1¼ inches 4 times. Work even until there are 66 rows from beg; then dec 1 st at beg of each row 6 times. Then dec 2 sts at beg of each row 4 times. Bind off remaining sts. Work another section in same manner.

=EMBROIDERY=: With White embroider as illustrated. See chart on page 20.
