From Gloucester cliffs and brown Nantucket dunes
The mountains lured you, and the mountain star;
For us the Woodland sang its lyric runes
Where’er we followed it, or near or far,
In sun or shadow cool,
Or loitered through long languorous afternoons
By Dian’s darkling pool.
