_Funeral Customs in the Middle Ages_ (Vol. vi., p. 433.).--In answer to your correspondent MR. PEACOCK, as to whether a monument was usually erected over the burial-place of the heart, &c.? it is mentioned in Miss Strickland's Life of Queen Mary Stuart, that--

"An elegant marble pillar was erected by Mary as a tribute of her
affection, to mark the spot where the heart of Francis II. was
deposited in Orleans Cathedral."
