"The cock, the mouse, and the little red hen: an old tale retold by Lefèvre" is a European fable published in 1907. When a greedy fox threatens three housemates, the lazy cock and mouse carelessly let danger inside. All three are captured and carried away in a sack. Only the hardworking little red hen—always prepared with her sewing kit—can save them. This tale teaches that hard work pays and being prepared for every eventuality can save lives.
