Chapter CXIII

Text size

_Rādhā:_ I never thought that love would break,
Or that the love of any worthy one might be a stone.

Therefore it is this great misfortune has befallen me,
I cannot fathom what Fate has wrought.

And tell my friend, my dear, with folded hands,
'It is but fruitless to destroy the flower of love.'

If he should answer, 'You are senseless,'
Say that I gave my heart with a free good will.

_Vidyāpati declares: I am amazed;_
_He whom you love, it seems, is blind!_
