Chapter XXXIX: Section 16: (a) Any person who violates any provision of this act for

which no penalty is specifically provided shall be subject to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500) and to undergo imprisonment not exceeding three years or both in the discretion of the court

(b) Where an old age assistance recipient is convicted of an offense under this section the assistance authorities may cancel the assistance certificate in respect to the issue of which the offense was committed
