Chapter LXXXVI

Text size

For Heaven comes down to Earth, in thee,
That worship may be harmony.
And years on years away have roll’d,
But still the Easter chimes are toll’d.
From land to land they peal and ring,
How Jesu is our Lord and King;
And hark! once more—from yonder fane,
Outpeal those gushing sounds again,
Responsive to the anthem, hurl’d
From land to land, around the world.
