Off goes Tom Gad, while John his lad
Stands holding his nags so handy:
Mary behind, with thoughtfulness kind
Is there with a bottle of brandy.
Master is going—(oh, how they'll be missing him
When he's in London)—and Missus is kissing him!

Send prosers to pot,
Who are dry and statistical,
And rather drink egg-hot,

Tom's journey ended, begins his spree;
Slap into the Bull and Mouth drives he.
