Footnote marks are formatted as “{n}”, where “n” is the
number or letter assigned to the footnote, and the footnote
text is provided right after the corresponding paragraph.

In the main body of the text (the poems and fragments),
page numbers appear right-aligned (along with line numbers)
as “{p. nnn}”, where “nnn” is the page number. The notes at
the end of the book refer to these page and line numbers.

Also, in the first part, the combination of vowels in a
single syllable occurring in synæresis and synalœpha is
marked with with square brackets enclosing all the vowels
joined, as in “Ser[á a]lma”. In the printed book this was
indicated with a curved arch above the letters, similar to
the sign used in musical notation for ties and slurs.

Changes to the original publication (possible typographic
errors or inconsistencies) are listed at the end.
