Harrods are famed for the quality of their Groceries and Provisions, and regularly execute orders for customers in all parts of the Kingdom. They also purvey for Clubs, Hotels, and similar institutions, as well as for Yachts, House Boats, Camps, &c.

Weekly Price Lists giving the latest prices of comestibles are issued each week, and afford practical assistance in the selection of requirements.

An inspection of the Food-Stuff Departments cannot fail to impress the visitor with the absolute cleanliness and the strict adherence to hygienic principles which prevails everywhere.

A PUBLIC TELEPHONE IS PROVIDED IN THIS DEPARTMENT FOR CUSTOMERS’ USE.

GROCERIES, ITALIAN GOODS, FRENCH AND CALIFORNIAN DESSERT FRUITS, Etc.

Harrods will be glad if _Orders for each Department are made out separately_, as it facilitates the execution thereof.

Town Customers are respectfully solicited to order _a Week’s supply of Groceries_, as it minimises the cost of distribution and enables us to reduce prices still further.

All bottles of Sauces, &c., are designated as ¼ bottles, ½ bottles, and bottles, instead of ½ pints, pints and quarts, in consequence of the New Weights and Measures Act, and all Tinned Goods about the specified weights.

Great care should be observed in unpacking Groceries, etc., as many instances occur daily of articles being found in Cases returned to Harrods as empty.

Customers will oblige and facilitate the execution and despatch of Orders by kindly affixing prices, kind and quantity of article required, and not to order _“same as before”_ as this entails reference and consequently delay.

Customers will kindly note that in executing Orders for Goods not appearing in Catalogue _some delay may occur_; although, of course, the Directors will see that the Orders are executed with the greatest possible rapidity.

The following Prices are subject to _Fluctuations of the Market_. Alterations and additions are published in “Weekly Price List,” post free on application. _Special Supplementary Lists are issued when necessary._

Any Biscuits of the above Makers can be supplied, but those not named in the List will take a few days to procure.

The Biscuits are guaranteed to be sent out in sound condition, and no allowance can therefore be made for breakages in transit. Customers are strongly recommended to order all Biscuits in tins, thereby preserving their flavour and crispness for a considerable period.
